The most scandalous acronym
The polarization around DEI has become so intense that we've lost track of what's actually being debated. So I want to pause and ask: What exactly are we resisting when we push back against these programs?
▫️ Are we against diversity - the layers of perspective that drive thoughtful connection and innovation?
◽ Against equity - ensuring everyone gets a fair shot at success?
▫️ Or inclusion - creating environments where people feel safe to be themselves at work?
Perhaps if we step back from labels that have become so charged they've lost their meaning, we might find common ground. Could it be that most of us actually do want workplaces that leverage human intelligence, honor differences, value hard work, instill trust and create space for brave conversations?
