Intention in’t luxury, it’s fuel.
It's August. The season of supposed slowness that's anything but slow.
For many of us, school is back in session and Q3 deadlines are heating up. Yet somewhere between the chaos of schedules and the pull of longer days, there's an invitation waiting.
What if this time of transition became your season of intention?
Last weekend, I attended an early morning yoga class at a state park. The setting was beautiful: perfect weather, peaceful surroundings. The instructor asked us to set an intention to hold with us during the hour.
It started easily enough. But then visitors began arriving to claim their spots for the day. Parents rushed back to cars for forgotten items. Children played nearby. And I realized something: I'd become more focused on their plans than my own intention.
Sound familiar?
While the world demands our constant attention: urgent deadlines, endless notifications, the weight of everything happening around us, what if we let August offer something different? Not the Instagram version, but real moments of presence hiding in plain sight.
That extra minute in conversation with a friend or colleague. The evening walk you almost skipped. The pause before diving into your next meeting.
Holding onto your intention isn't a luxury. It's fuel.
Whether you're leading teams, raising families, managing your own workload, or juggling the complexity of these roles at once, you do have a choice in how you move through these shifting rhythms.
Maybe it’s not IF you have time, but whether you can afford not to make it.
